Ed Woodward backed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and rubbished claims decision at Manchester United are being made by non-football people.

The club have endured their worst start to a season for 30 years and find themselves 12th in the Premier League.

They could find themselves in the relegation zone if they lose to Liverpool on Sunday, with their rivals having won all eight of their games so far.

Man United‘s executive vice-chairman Woodward addressed a staff meeting two weeks ago praising Solskjaer for bringing ‘fast, fluid football’ back to the club and insisted his position was not under threat.

There was also a message for people who were critical of those making the decisions at the club.

“Ole’s vision maps exactly to the core three football objectives we have: We must win trophies, we must play attacking football, and we must give youth its chance,” Woodward said, as reported by The Times.
