Darren Bent believes Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams could be in contention for a call-up to England’s Euro 2020 squad.
The left-back has broken into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this season and put in some impressive performances.
The 19-year-old is even keeping the more experienced Luke Shaw out of the side.
Former England striker Bent and talkSPORT host Adrian Durham were talking about the Man United youth product on Drive and his chances of being named in Gareth Southgate’s squad.
Durham said: “Apart from the miss, he was sensationally good, Williams at left-back, and he is everything Luke Shaw should be.”
Bent said: “He’s got to be within a shout (for the Euros). If he keeps Luke Shaw out of the team and plays from now until the end of the season, every week, and plays at the level he played at the weekend then he can’t be far away.

“I know [Ben] Chilwell and [Danny] Rose you probably put in front of him.”
Durham added: “Chilwell is dipping a little bit.”
Bent replied: “He’s still playing well though and the best left-back.”
Bent added: “Brandon Williams, if he continues to play as well as he did at the weekend and continues that until the end of the season then he has to be in the discussion.”
Williams made his debut for the Red Devils in September 2019 during their Carabao Cup penalty shootout win over Rochdale. He has gone on to make 14 more appearances for the club and netted his first goal in November against Sheffield United.
