Wickets tumble

Keemo Paul has struck twice in two overs. First he gets rid of Ibrahim Zadran who plays a loose drive to chip it to Pollard and then the big fish Nabi miscues one. Afghanistan have absolutely collapsed here after the brisk start. They are now 100/6 after 15 overs.

Holder strikes again

This was a very good delivery, came back in slightly after pitching to trap the batsman plumb in front. Janat departs now for Afghanistan

Top catch

Holder bowls this short and Afghan could only get a glove on the pull. Ramdin takes an excellent catch diving to his left. Afghanistan are in trouble now losing three in quick time.

2 in 2

Wow, what a comeback this is. Kesrick Williams has picked up both the openers. First Gurbaz mistimed a shot and was caught by Pollard and then Zazai didn’t pick a slower delivery off the very next ball and hit it to cover point. Advantage is lost. Afghanistan have to rebuild now.

Flying start

Zazai is in his elements and Afghanistan are off to a flier. They have raced to 41 in just four overs and this is exactly the kind of start they were looking for.

Toss – West Indies opt to bat

Build up

It’s 4-0 in favour of West Indies at the moment in this series and Afghanistan would want to desperately change it. Not only should they be looking to arrest this slide but also a win here will keep the series alive. And with a Test match to follow, confidence wise, this will be a big boost for Afghanistan in case they manage to turn their fortunes around tonight.

Rashid Khan will have to lead from the front and the batters will have to respond in style. For West Indies, it’s about continuing the good work. Evin Lewis and Kieron Pollard dazzled the other night but Shimron Hetmyer had an ordinary game and would want to correct it this time around. Will West Indies put up another clinical show and clinch the T20I series as well or can Afghanistan fight back in their adopted home? Welcome to the live blog for this second T20I.
