50 up for Bangladesh, but for the loss of four wickets.
DROPPED! Shami continues to create chances.Rohit drops one in the slips after Rahim is let off early once again. Mushfiqur goes chasing after one again and gets an edge that is spilled.
Shami has two wickets in two overs. Mohammad Mithun tries to take on the short ball and miscues the top-edge to midwicket. There’s good pace in this surface and Shami used it well here. Bangladesh 44/4
Excellent review from India and they have their man! It’s the mainstay of Bangladesh’s innings – their skipper – Mominul Haque that has to go.It was the angle created by Shami coming around the wicket that had Tucker think the ball would go down. But it wasn’t; would knock leg-stumps over. India were so sure. Mominul has to go.
Ishant doesn’t want to be left behind. Comes round the wicket and knocks off the top of leg stump.Has been taking the ball away, but this one came back in. Shadman was playing for the swing, but the ball snuck through his defence. Bangladesh 16/2.
India lose a review!Loud leg-before shout against Mominul and the umpire thinks it’s going to miss. Nothing from him, but the Indians are very interested. Decide to review. No shot offered from the batsman, so no question of bat at all. Ball-tracking through, shows the ball to miss.
OUT!! Swing and pace from Umesh! But it’s the length that knocks over Imrul Kayes’s stumps. The ball curved in, forcing the batsman to play. He can’t, gets the inside edge onto the stumps and has to go. Bangladesh – 10/1.
Ishant to kickstart proceedings in Indore. How long will Bangladesh resist this ruthless Indian attack?
JUST IN: India have declared overnight, so Bangladesh will come out to bat this morning.
Have you recovered from Mayank Agarwal’s stunning knock from yesterday? Whether or not you have, Bangladesh needs to in order to put on a fair show after that battering yesterday. Good morning and welcome to Day 3 of the Indore Test.
Such was the impact of India’s onslaught last evening that the visitors took their own sweet time, and by that, I mean that quite literally, to bowl those final overs of the day. You can’t blame them either for not wanting to give India more overs in the middle with them having had scored over 400 runs on day 2 – 97 of which, came in the final 10 overs of the day. India stretched their lead to 343.
Mayank first, Pujara, Rahane, Jadeja and even Umesh were in between the runs. But after being dropped on 32, such was Mayank’s innings that it literally broke the spirit of Bangladesh. Anyway, if you haven’t read more on his knock, don’t miss: Mayank Agarwal – Making hay on a purple patch.
