Mauro Icardi has declared that “I’ll do everything I can to stay” at Paris Saint-Germain after starring on loan from Inter.
Icardi has made a flying start to life in the French capital, scoring seven goals in his first eight games, and PSG have already negotiated an option to buy with Inter in the region of €70m.
“To play for PSG is massive, it’s one of the best clubs in the world,” the striker told RMC Sport.
“I’ll do everything I can to stay. I need to show what I’ve got on the pitch.
“October was a positive month, but I still have a lot more to do. I must continue the coming months.
“Let’s see if I stay when the season is over, there are a lot of things I want to do. That’s why I’m here.”
Despite his prolific run of form, the 26-year-old remains out of the Argentina squad.
